• IT is absolutely shocking to read of the knife killings of such young men whose lives have been taken away in horrendous circumstances.

I was brought up in a lovely area, Hampstead / Gospel Oak. People were civil then, and there was hardly any violence. The world now is a dangerous place and one doesn’t feel safe anywhere.

Our police do all they can to combat crime in Camden but can’t be around all the time. So perhaps we do need more in our communities, especially round the estates, where one feels more vulnerable.

My heart goes out to the families of the victims.
