Not for self but for all?

• NO Camden deselected councillor has taken the option of appealing to the regional Labour Party for reinstatement.
I wonder why? Too remote an organisation for taste? Too remote from the aspiration and desires of the people in the ward they represent?.
The motto non sibi sed toti (not for self but for all) has been erected high up above the entrance of 5 Pancras Square, the new council building. In other words work with the local people direct. But the councillors have done just that!
And between St Pancras and Euston hundreds and hundreds of slogans have been painted on the pavement on both sides in support of the COP26 week.
The locals know it is eye-wateringly naive and wishful thinking, a lie, and done without advertising consent.
Vehicle engine idling is still not enforced in the ward and diesel trains enter daily into both stations and keep running their engines for hours before departing even though the train engines are electric. Dual fuel.
Diesel, purchased legally, tax free, is cheaper than electricity. Lucky train operators.
