NOSTALGIA will take on age this Saturday when some familiar faces from the world of amateur football make their long-awaited return to the pitch.
Keen Tottenham fan Kevin Ryland is reuniting some of best players from Camden and Islington that played under him during his time on the sidelines as a manager. Camden Hawks will join forces with Cumberland FC to take on Colossal FC for the right to get their hands on the Global Media Leads Cup.
Kevin, who at the age of 41 is threatening to lace up his boots and make an appearance for both teams, said: “All the players gave me so much blood, sweat and tears over the years I wanted to arrange a big match to give them something back.
“It’s going to be an emotional day, I just can’t wait for kick-off.”
The big match takes place Saturday at Wingate & Finchley FC in Summers Lane, N12, at noon.
