THE champions have been crowned, but drama goes on in the Chalk Farm Pool League.

Three teams will be battling it out to beat the drop when north London’s premier pool competition comes to a climax in May following eight months of pulsating potting action.

All eyes will be on Peckwater TA’s winner-survives match against Prince of Wales Dynamos with the teams currently second and third from bottom respectively.

Fourth-from-bottom Boston Rimmers also go into their last game vs Green Man knowing every frame could be crucial if they are to avoid relegation.

One club that will be cheering and commiserating in equal measures is Sir Robert Peel.

The pub’s ‘A’ team will surely break the 200-point barrier in the final game having already clinched their fourth league title on the spin. Their ‘B’ team, however, haven’t enjoyed their season so much having already been relegated to division two.
