No room for a bin: a wheely confusing story of our times

• CAMDEN Council is really comical.
Some years ago it imposed wheelie bins on its residents, even those living in houses converted into three, four, or more flats. People living in these converted houses have nowhere to store the bins, so they are on the streets 24/7.
Today I noticed stickers on all the bins saying bring your bin in because there is no room for people to get by. The stickers add that if you have too many wheelie bins, contact the council or Veolia, which will take one or more away.
As you would imagine, most of the dwellers in these converted houses generate enough rubbish and / or recycling for a full household so they need a bin per flat.
Our house opted to keep our recycling boxes and our own ordinary rubbish bins. A shame Camden hadn’t thought out the consequences of their actions.
