TWO goals from Lorenzo Picchi helped league leaders EC1 Youth claim three big points against title rivals Regent’s Park on Friday. Lorenzo smashed home a superb free-kick to give EC1 a half-time advantage before goals from Cameron De-Freitas and Nathan Tshola opened up an unassailable 3-0 lead. Regent’s Park pulled a goal back but Lorenzo ended the game as he started it by scoring with a cheeky finish from a corner to wrap up an impressive 4-1 victory.

PLAYERS from Pro Touch Soccer Academy will be looking to get back on the goal trail on Friday when they return to action against CM Futsal at Market Road. The talented young goal-getters will have to be at their very best if they’re to top the performance they put in on Friday when they stormed to a 9-0 victory over Highbury Wolves. Man-of-the-match Sid Rounthwaite led the charge with four goals, while Luca De Martini bagged a brace. Kyle Doherty, Tanvir Fahim and Bradley Oliver also all found the back of the net.
Hotshots Art Fetahu and William John both scored two goals each as the free-scoring Heath continued their net-busting form on Tuesday against Sapo Verde. Dorian Krasniqi and Leart Bilalli were also on target as the Heath took their tally to 28 goals in just five league games.
• ISLEDON Wolves are holding open trials for their U-14s and U-15s sides on Saturday at the artificial pitches at Market Road in Islington. The club wants to recruit new players to help them continue their bright start to the season, which has seen them top the table in both age groups in the Harrow Sunday League. The trials take place between midday and 2pm and players interested in joining in should dust off their boots and go along!
