HS2: ‘We’ve been sold down the Swanee’

• ISN’T it disgusting and appalling that no leader has responded to the call for mass testing of the people for lung damage caused by continual long-term ingestion, over many years, of HS2’s deadly toxic air pollution, destruction and deforestation.

But at least we now know where we stand, and who is and is not on our side! Yet the very fat-cat salaried servants of the people are busy feigning concern for the poor and underprivileged, while at the same time tolerating the deliberate harm HS2 is doing to those same people – as well as polluting our rivers and drinking water supplies, and with sewage leaks.

And, unbelievably, even large sink holes appearing where HS2 has been! You just couldn’t make it up. With the government and HS2’s clear incompetence they are flagrantly abusing our trust and tax monies, while using us as guinea pigs to make vast profits.

And, by the way, have you noticed the disappearance of the overwhelmingly noisy dawn chorus and of the abundance of frogs we used to have? It will be us next, and makes you wonder if we’re on the road to Armageddon.

But be aware, we’ve been sold down the Swanee, and none of them are on our side. And they’re all in collusion with the government and HS2.

So let’s ask them once again. As a matter of urgency, please, organise mass testing of the lungs of the people of Camden (especially those in Hampstead Road and Somers Town).
