A LIVELY crowd of 4,374 cheered Arsenal’s Under-21s to victory in their debut match of the new Under-21 Premier League at the
Emirates on Monday.
Terry Burton’s charges found themselves on the backfoot when Damian Martinez was red-carded for a foul and Adam Blakeman converted the penalty.
But the young Gunners turned the game around in the second half when Thomas Eisfeld levelled and Conor Henderson hit two to seal a debut win.
The U-21s host Blackburn Rovers at the Emirates on Saturday at 2pm. Tickets on sale at Arsenal.com.
The Arsenal U-19s will be in action on Wednesday August 29, when they play their counterparts from Marseille at Barnet in the Champions League-style NextGen Series.
