SOME of the borough’s best primary cricketers went head-to-head at Regent’s Park in the Camden Schools Sports Association’s annual tournament.

The CSSA Kwik Cricket competition saw 23 teams from 12 schools play for honours in A and B tournaments with five boys and five girls stepping up to the crease to bowl at least one over each and rotate in every outfield position. The victors on the day were New End School, Hampstead, who did the A and B double, edging out St Aloysius of Aldenham Street in both finals. Brookfield School from Highgate and Gospel Oak School lost out in the semis.

The competition was organised by the CSSA, which provides sporting links for children in the borough’s primary schools, supported by Camden Council’s Sport and Physical Activity Service and Regent’s Park Cricket Club.
