AFTER a fantastic summer of open water swimming, members of Swiss Cottage Masters were back in the pool at the Barnet Copthall Sprint Meet on Sunday.

Newcomer Ashley Anderson was among the outstanding swimmers of the meet, powering to victory in the 50m breaststroke, butterfly and freestyle events.  He also took silver in the 100m breaststroke.

In the women’s competition, golden girl Karen Bellas was once again the club’s star performer.

Competing in the 60-65 age group, she entered nine out of a possible 10 events and won them all.

With all eyes on October’s National Sprint Championships, Camden Swiss Cottage were in sparkling form with Rebecca Adam, Alex Boyce, Anna Fenton, Hurriyet Giray, Susan Green, Chris Hopton and Fiona McWhirter all winning gold.
