BOYS and girls from across the borough had their sights firmly set on goal this week as they turned out in force for the conclusion of the Primary Schools Netball League.

Held on the courts of La Sainte Union School in Highgate, just four of the 24 primaries that signed up for the chance to get their hands on silverware in September remained.

Pupils from St Aloysius Junior School in Somers Town were the ones cheering the loudest at the end of the day after they defeated all before them to win the ‘A’ League for the second year in a row.

Runners-up Gospel Oak, who pushed St Aloysius all the way in the final, got their reward for a tremendous team effort as they went on to win the ‘B’ League.

St Aloysius, meanwhile, will now go on to represent Camden in the London School Games finals in March 2015.

The event was the first of the school year organised by the Camden Schools Sports Association, delivered in partnership with the Camden Sport and Physical Activity team and with the help of volunteer sports leaders from La Sainte Union secondary school.
