• LOVE the idea for the London Museum and Bristol replacement statues (Letters, June 18).

Nelson’s Column is too great a landmark to come down but how about a statue to, or depicting the slaves thrown overboard permanently on the Trafalgar Square fourth plinth with a conceptualising plaque?
