HOLBORN and St Pancras MP Sir Keir Starmer was involved in a road collision which left a cyclist hurt on Sunday lunchtime.

The Labour Party leader had been behind the wheel of his car in Grafton Road, Kentish Town, at the time of the accident.

An ambulance was called and the cyclist was later taken to hospital with what was described as a “minor arm injury”.

Mr Starmer stayed at the scene and later reported the incident to police, as is required by law.

His spokesman said: “Since the incident, Keir has also been in touch with the other individual involved.”

Police said that the driver and the cyclist had exchanged details, and the driver had left, before officers arrived.

“The driver subsequently attended a north London police station,” a Met Police statement said. “He was not arrested or interviewed under caution.”
