Mowgli cat and Andre have been reunited
MOWGLI is back home safe after his own Jungle Book-style “adventure” in West Hampstead.
The striking grey cat, who belongs to the owner of the Wet Fish Cafe in West End Lane, had been missing for 12 days.
Happy owner Andre Millodot said: “He showed up close to midnight. The stories that little vagabond could tell.”
Yesterday (Wednesday), the 51-year-old had told the New Journal how Mowgli had helped him get through at a difficult time in his personal life and had been a “saviour” to him.
He escaped through an open window in Mr Millodot’s home, near West Hampstead station.
Mr Millodot said the name was fitting as the Jungle Book character was also “cheeky, fierce and gets himself into trouble”.
Mowgli’s favourite dish at the Wet Fish Cafe is the “mackerel special”.
