More suggestions for replacing Rhodes’s name…

Norma Ashe-Watt
• I AM indeed honoured that Cllr Tom Simon suggested that the house should be renamed Norma Ashe-Watt, (Rhodes tenants say block does not need to honour anyone, July 2).
Since I do not live in Camden, I do not think it will be appropriate.
I can give the names of two people who have lived in Camden and who have made a great contribution to the community.
The late Lord Pitt of Hampstead, whose surgery was on North Gower Street, and which, after his medical duties, hosted local and international visitors for discussions.
The late Jocelyn Barrow who lived in Bloomsbury, who also made a great contribution to the community.
Jocelyn and Dr David Pitt together with two others started the first organisation in England to try and fight racism, Campaign Against Racial Discrimination (CARD).
I do feel it should be left to members of the tenants’ association to choose a name.
