• YOUR news report highlighted the poor take-up of the Covid-19 vaccines in Camden, (Borough’s low jab rates persist, February 3).

The Department of Health is sending £500,000 to try to accelerate the take-up with part of the money being used to fund a “health bus” touring the borough.

Money will not induce anyone with serious concerns regarding the experimental vaccines, whose side effects have been seriously under-reported.

We do now know that the vaccines do not stop a person from either catching Covid-19 or from passing it on.

These people will not be coerced nor are they anti-vacs, as Dr Steve James from King’s College Hospital tried to explain to Sajid Javid, the health secretary.

They are simply ordinary people wishing for further evidence as to the effectiveness and safety of the jabs.

The £500,000 would be better spent on providing everyone in the borough with free vitamin D and vitamin C to boost their individual immune response.
