TELEVISION actresses Sophie Thompson and Joanna David judged a “bake off” competition at the country’s leading brain hospital.
Staff at National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Queen Square, Bloomsbury, raised an array of delights, including a life-like brain cake called “Mind over Batter”.
Ms David, a patient at the hospital, said she was “blown away by the effort and the endeavour” of the cake-making health workers.
Twenty-eight NHS staff entered and £600 was raised for the National Brain Appeal charity.
