Many people are unaware of the support from Age UK Camden

Thursday, 6th April 2017

• WE are the Campaigns Action Group (CAG), Camden residents who work with Age UK Camden (AUC) to campaign on issues affecting older people in the borough.

Through our activities we’re aware that many people don’t know about the support available from AUC. Stanley Freed, CAG member, reports: “One of my neighbours recently asked me about attendance allowance. I gave him AUC’s phone number and he got immediate satisfaction, with a single call.

“But it is unfortunate that many older people who are in urgent need of help do not ask for it.”

AUC is an independent charity that offers advice and information, dementia wellbeing services, digital inclusion, an internet shopping service and much more.

We’re keen to raise awareness of the work this charity does so that more older people can enjoy independent and fulfilling lives. We invite older people to contact AUC to find out how they can help or contact us via cag@ageukcamden.org.uk if they would like to get involved in the CAG.
