Left scared in unisex loos in Camden Town

• WITH regards to the public toilets at Camden Town being unisex, in September 2021 I needed to use them and took with me my stepson as he was too young to leave unaccompanied outside.

I told him to stand by the sinks, but as I was in the cubicle a very deep (panto-style) male voice came from the next cubicle chanting “I am coming for you… I am coming up from below and coming to find you…”

It was said in a loud, dramatic, threatening tone which, whoever “he” was may have found amusing was actually quite scary.

My poor stepson was terrified and ran upstairs to wait on the busy road intersection. I was too uneasy to say anything as there was no assistant and in an area of varied individuals I didn’t feel able to confront the person alone.

It was a horrible thing and unsettled us both. I sent a letter of complaint to Camden Council on September 29 and chased a reply on January 5 2022. Apart from getting a complaint reference I have had no response.
