Make an effort for the environment and fall in with the new policy for rubbish collections
Thursday, 20th April 2017
• VIEWED from next door’s borough Haringey, the kerfuffle over rubbish collection causes no end of bemusement.
We’ve had biweekly collections of non-recyclable rubbish for many years, without any problems. In my household we don’t even fill our huge black bin to the half-way mark over a two-week period.
As Karen Brown said in her letter (Collection change – get used to it!, April 13), could everyone please get real and make an effort for the environment?
Oh, and don’t let columnist Julia Hartley-Brewer set the public agenda on this issue. We’ve all seen what damage she did over Brexit.
