Judd Street leaflet_1

Four-page leaflet about the development of 105 Judd Street, the current RNIB building

• WE received a colourful four-page leaflet (pictured above) about the development of 105 Judd Street, the current RNIB building, sent to all nearby residents by Native Land, the developers.

Can you spot the difference between the before (small) and the after (big)? A very high additional floor has been added.

However, if you read the leaflet, this is only mentioned in a single sentence on page 4: “Laboratory Enabled Space” ‘And provide a roof extension – an attractive addition to a Bloomsbury building’.”

The rest of the leaflet provides us with drawings of the outside space, including for a café, and the ground-floor plan.

But surely local residents should be made aware about the most important change to the building, a extra storey. Why isn’t this made clearer?

The leaflet finishes by saying “We consider engagement and consultation as essential to this process”.

So I called them on the number given, 0800 092 0384, and the answerphone told me they would call me back. Did they? No.
