Happy new year, Veolia!

• VEOLIA have failed to collect Christmas trees left in special recycling areas in the Highgate Enclosures, NW5, since the new year.

So residents of Lissenden Gardens on Sunday picked them up – along with an estimated 2,400 pieces of litter – and hope that Veolia will take note.

Or Camden Council, who contract Veolia to do the job, on behalf of council taxpayers.
