CAPTAIN Bela Biagosch scored the winner as Highgate Rangers narrowly beat West End FC to win the Under-8s Hill Cup.

Micah Ford-Simpson’s side, which regularly competes in the Camden and Islington Midweek Youth League, ran out 1-0 winners in the final of the knock-out competition following a day of silky skills, goals and high drama at Primrose Hill.

Striker Solomon Hamilton more than played his part along the way as he scored the goals that got Highgate into the final, winning the coveted Golden Boot Award in the process.

West End FC were worthy opponents in the grand showpiece as they reached the final without losing a single game.

Taylor Jones and Nico Berczelln were both singled out for praise by their manager Peter Chapman.

There are still spaces available for teams in the under-11s competition on Saturday June 30, the under-8s tournament on Sunday July 1, and the under-9s tourney on Sunday July 8.
