THERE’S a new team on the scene, and they’re looking to take the youth footballing world by storm.
AFC Islington and Camden have barely been up and running for three weeks and they’ve already picked up two trophies after winning the Under-12s Coram’s Fields Cup and finishing as runners-up in a Somers Town tournament.
Manager Liton Shah has already set his sights on strengthen the club.
“We’re all about playing attractive football, and the fact that we’re winning trophies is a bonus and proves that passing and moving pays off,” he said.
“We’re now looking to strengthen and add to our younger age groups, and build a club for the future.”
The club is looking for players aged five to 11 years old and holds training sessions at Regent’s Park every Sunday.
