Local firms need support concerning HS2

• HS2 Ltd continues to keep the community in Camden in the dark about its plans for transforming Euston station.
I have a lot of sympathy for the families and businesses that have been displaced by the project. Yet, as a resident, I know I can seek help through the council or at one of HS2’s community forums.
However, as a former local business owner, and through my work with Camden Town Unlimited, I am not so sure local firms get the same quality of support and advice.
The government surely needs to open the door to businesses and give their owners meaningful opportunities to engage. Appointing a local representative to speak for them on HS2 at Euston would be a start.
