Lines on ‘mindless vandalism’

• FURTHER to David Duncan’s letter (Stop encouraging mindless vandalism, August 16), a depiction of a steam engine, appropriately adjoining the Roundhouse, has been savagely desecrated by these duffers.

One answer might be:
These scrawlers, we need to remind
Whenever their rubbish we find
That respect was the theme
In the age of steam
And they all had a tender behind.
