Lidl to open in Kentish Town

A NEW Lidl supermarket is set to open in Kentish Town.

The opening of the discount store in Kentish Town Road follows the company's move into Camden Town three years ago.

In Kentish Town, it will move into premises currently operating as Co-Operative supermarket. Sainsbury's, Tesco and Iceland are already have outlets in the same street.

Lidl has plans to double its number of stores, after seeing a recent boom in business.

A company spokesman said: "We are delighted to confirm that Lidl will be opening a new store at 217-223 Kentish Town Road later this year. Further details regarding the opening date will be released closer to the time."
