GRANDPARENTS and parents were beaming like excited children as they told their little ones all about Liam Brady and his cultured left foot on Saturday after the Arsenal Legend surprised onlookers by showing up at the artificial pitches at Market Road. 

The players might have been far too young to remember the midfielder’s elegant skills and silky passing, but, with a little nudge, that didn’t stop them mobbing the former FA Cup winner as he handed out medals and trophies at the finals of the Camden and Islington Midweek Youth League Under-8s Development Cup. 

League general secretary Karen Greene said, “I want to thank Liam Brady for coming along and supporting us, it was great to have an Arsenal legend with us for the Under-8s final.”
