Let’s work for a better new normal

• BEING in isolation is tough.
I’d like to thank Camden social services for providing my carers with PPE equipment; and the Camden New Journal for keeping me grounded, in touch with my local area.
My heart goes out to those who have lost loved ones; who work tirelessly for us in our hospitals, carers cleaners, shop workers etc.
People say let’s get back to normal. I ask: do we really want that?
The one where those we clap for were treated like trash, with barely concealed contempt. Where are the rich tax avoiders? They ran for their private islands, estates or panic rooms. Where pollution – air, noise, plastic etc – was killing our planet?
I’d prefer a better, cleaner, fairer, world.
We are learning, it takes an assortment of people to make, maintain and enjoy a decent world.
So please can we consider all people, animals and the environment when we start returning to a semblance of normality.
