Police station in Rosslyn Hill
• A ROCK ’n’ roll museum – what an imaginative use of space! I certainly enjoyed reading about an alternative use of the old police station site in Rosslyn Hill (January 30).
The building is in the heart of the community but it would also attract tourists. The possibility of the building being host to photography exhibitions, a shop, bar, café and a space for local musicians to record is a wonderful opportunity and would make the best use of this unique space.
From an educational perspective, it would offer local schools a chance to visit mini exhibitions and even have music lessons in the cells! It would be a great shame if a Free school took over the building as grants to fund these schools leech money out of the education system.
How much better it would be to provide this space to the many and not just to the few.
