Let’s have some joined-up thinking on the Kentish Town plan framework
Thursday, 8th November 2018
• THE Kentish Town Planning Framework area is not only a colossal project but has a very large and significant border with Gospel Oak. This runs from Holmes Road all the way up to Gospel Oak Overground station.
Residents and businesses of the historically disadvantaged West Kentish Town are understandably concerned as to how to take part in the consultation and how the plans will affect them.
None of the Labour councillors in Haverstock and Gospel Oak wards thought to ask to have them publicly available in that area. The Greens’ Cllr Sian Berry had to request this, and they are now in Queen’s Crescent library.
Given that Gospel Oak has its own regeneration programme under way and Sadiq Khan has earmarked £1.1million for the improvement of Queen’s Crescent Market it would seem sensible that all parts of Camden Council and their councillors worked together to create a joined-up and coherent plan for the area. The consultation lasts until December 7.
