• I WRITE this on Sunday evening: where the country will be by the time this is published is anybody’s guess.

At this late stage, with time running out, we call upon Sir Keir Starmer to be true to and to deliver upon his speech to Labour conference: to move to a vote of no confidence and then a people’s vote with an option to remain.

For two-and-a-half years official Labour policy has been to be the second party of Brexit. Meanwhile the vast majority of members of the Labour Party and voters of Holborn and St Pancras stand where the Liberal Democrats have always stood: proudly pro-European, seeking a people’s vote to remain in the European Union, the best “deal” we will ever get.
