See you at The Grove

• I HAVE noticed that Steve Barnett always uses the Ashburton Grove title when reporting the Arsenal women’s matches.

How I wish this would be picked up on by fans, the players and manager so that Ashburton Grove becomes common usage.

I have written to Arsenal about this, even suggesting a large: Welcome To Ashburton Grove sign to be erected (possibly at the railway bridge). I just got a dreary “we most honour our sponsors” reply.

All these years and we are still at a lifeless bog-standard grey bowl. A step in improving the ambience would be utilising the Ashburton Grove name and reducing the dead hand of corporatism a little (which is sucking the life out of a once great club).

“See you at The Grove”. Does that not sound a lot better? I put it to your readers.
