Iain Ogilvie died earlier this month, aged 72

• THANKS for the excellent obituary about the sad death of Ian Ogilvie.

Like many locals who have shopped on the Brecknock for many years, since the 1970s in my case, Bumblebee has always been the place to buy much of ones food.

When I came back to London again after many years away my partner and I made sure we specifically settled within a short walk to the shop.

Graham, the other innovative shopkeeper and bee keeper, called the shop “Bumblebee” because he had assumed that he would always be a loner. It fact it turned out not be the case in the end!

Let’s give his son, Ivan, all the support and encouragement to continue the history of this important shop.
