LEON is set to be the latest big-name chain to move into Camden High Street.
Planners have been asked to grant permission for a shop conversion close to the new Buck Street Market container complex – on the same side of the road as the Electric Ballroom.
Camden Council is reviewing an application for how the new shop will look with a branded awning.
Brothers Mohsin and Zuber Issa bought the chain for £100million earlier this year through their EG Group company, which also recently acquired Asda. Leon had originally been set up in 2004 as a healthy eating fast-food offering.
One if its founders, Henry Dimbleby, went on to be recruited as a food adviser for prime minister Boris Johnson.
