Leave no trace

• I AM often shocked at the mess left on West Heath.

Plastic bags are regularly strung up in the woods that overflow with litter. Only this weekend I found an area strewn with used condoms, one seemingly covered in blood.

If you’re even partially responsible for causing this can I ask you to think of the wildlife that lives there, the people, including children, that explore once you’ve left and those who have to clear up after you?

“Leave no trace” seems like a generally accepted and reasonable rule of thumb. Please consider the greater good of doing exactly that.
