A TEAM of talented sports leaders gave Camden’s youngsters a glimpse of what they can look forward to in the future when they took charge of a series of action-packed events at the Open East Festival.
The intrepid group (pictured), which was made up of young sports enthusiasts from the Camden Sport and Physical Activity Team and LaSwap sixth-form, rose to the challenge in the two-day festival as they organised fun games for more than 200 people.
Celebrating the one year anniversary of the Olympic Games, the festival gave the proud team the chance to host competitions at a range of venues including the Olympic stadium, the aquatics centre and the velodrome.
The Camden Sport and Physical Activity team are looking to enrol new members in September.
