St james gardens

The final spring in St James’s Gardens

• THE imminent loss of the magnificent trees in St James’s Gardens for HS2 has recently featured in the New Journal. You may not be familiar with these trees because St James’s Gardens are tucked away beside Euston station.

The demolition of the Temperance Hospital by HS2 Ltd now gives a good view of them from Hampstead Road; their great height and breadth can be particularly well appreciated from the upper deck of a bus.
