Labour could do with some action from the leadership

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer

• IF only the current leader of the Labour Party was as ferocious with the Tories, as he is with his own, well-principled, socialist MPs.

When it comes to the Tories, he does seem lame at times. It is absurd to suspend Jeremy Corbyn and he needs to be reinstated urgently.

Corbyn is not anti-Semitic. He has always stood up for the Jewish community, all other ethnic minorities, the disabled, vulnerable, and working classes.

I remember some years ago Corbyn was challenging the Holocaust deniers very passionately. And in 1987 he fought hard to save a 176-year-old Jewish cemetery.

The Labour Party needs to be united and have socialist policies to get this country back on its feet. It’s just four years before a general election all this is wasting valuable time.

In the meantime, people are going without food, they can’t pay the rent. What do they do? It is time that the Labour leadership did what it’s supposed to do – not purge socialist MPs and members.
