• SURELY it is no coincidence that the sharp decline in the number of stops and searches coincide with the surge in knife crime.

Our police service needs to know that they will be supported rather than criticised when acting on our behalf.

Until this is addressed it will only get worse. Don’t let us become another Chicago.
