• THE other morning I could not get out of my flat because of the foul-smelling poison that was being sprayed all over the walls.

The man doing the job had most of his face covered by a large mask. I did not blame him but what about the tenants? Did they ask us? No they did not.

When finally I got out I asked him why he was doing this, he said it was to kill spiders. So when the warm weather comes we will be infested with flies.

I tried to explain to him spiders are our friends because they kill the flies that spread infection. He did not understand, he was just following orders.

This is democracy in Camden – run by idiots.
