HIS handsome bird of prey, found dead by a bus stop on Highgate Road on Tuesday, leaving bird experts scratching their heads as to what led to it coming to a premature end.

The hawk – which looks like a kestrel – was found near Parliament Hill Fields. It showed no signs of being malnourished or ill.

Theories include the idea that it was knocked out after flying into a window or a bus shelter screen.
