AN online appeal to raise money to cover the cost of Juliana Tudos’s funeral more than doubled its £4,000 target in less than a day.

Friends were joined by people who had never met Ms Tudos but who said they just wanted to help after hearing the shocking news of her murder in a series of online donations through a ‘Go Fund Me’ page. The World’s End pub barmaid, 22, was found dead in Finsbury Park on Wednesday after going missing on Christmas Eve. She had been stabbed and suffered a blow to a head.

“I’ve been at the underworld in Camden Town several times and remember her as a positive and nice soul,” said one donor, while a friend pledging to the appeal quoted the lyrics of the band Black Label Society’s song The Last Goodbye, adding: “You were amazing human being.” Another message said: “Once a Camden barmaid, always a Camden barmaid ♥.” Others referenced Camden Town’s alternative music scene.

The donations were still being made this evening (Friday) and at 9pm was nearing the £10,000 mark.
