JORDAN Nobbs showed England just what they missed at the European Championships when she fired Arsenal Ladies back into the title race. 

The midfielder travelled to Sweden with the Three Lions last month but never made it off the bench as Hope Powell’s side crashed out in the group stages.

At the Halton Stadium in Widnes on Saturday Nobbs reminded fans just what she brings to a game as she scored twice in an emphatic victory over rivals Liverpool in the Women’s Super League.

Alex Scott also found the back of the net as the Gunners wrapped up a convincing 3-0 win. The result leaves Shelley Kerr’s side eight points behind league leaders Bristol Academy Women with two games in hand.

The Gunners will be looking to continue their march up the table on Sunday when they take on Everton at Boreham Wood FC in a 2pm kick-off.
