THOUSANDS of people were out this weekend at Jubilee street parties across Camden.

Gulliver suspects the vast majority of attendees were not card-carrying monarchists, rather those simply looking for something fun to do with friends and neighbours on the long weekend.

For some however, the spectacle was too much to handle.

Reporting from Chalcot Square, Primrose Hill, entertainer Lanah P, said it had been good to see so many people out having an “afternoon soiree” while drawing parallels with a phenomenon where people develop positive feelings towards those that seek to control them.

“I just popped by to see what Stockholm Syndrome looks like,” she said, adding: “We can afford to have this one on the throne but we can’t afford to end austerity for anybody. If it benefits the rich, it’s a good thing. But if it benefits the poor we can’t afford it.

“We have a cost of living crisis. If you really want to do something good before you go queenie, end austerity.”

Lanah P has a new YouTube channel out: Lanah Be Lit and Learning.
