SCORES of talented young footballers flooded back to Market Road this week as the thrills, spills, goals and gasps of the Camden and Islington Midweek Youth League returned following the winter break.
Some of the youngest players in the league treated fans to a glimpse of the skills that will be on show in 2014 when they took part in the Development Cup finals.
Hotshot Jesse Aldrich lit-up the Under-8s final as he put in a masterclass of finishing to score four goals for Isledon Wolves. Oscar Phillips chipped in with two goals, while an own-goal completed the scoring as Wolves ran out 7-4 winners over Futebol de Salao.
In the Under-9s final Angel Islington netted a narrow 2-1 victory over The Hill NW3, while players from Regent’s Park FC were also celebrating after beating Soccerscool 4-0 in the Under-10s final.
