THERE’S just no stopping Hampstead as they wrapped up a double of doubles on Saturday in the Camden and Regent’s Park Youth League.

The Under-15s side made the most of their home advantage as they beat AFC Camden and Islington 5-0 at Chase Lodge in Barnet to win the League Cup
This is the second year in a row that they’ve secured a league and cup double.

Goals from captain James McWilliams and Dylan Middlebrook gave the side a commanding 2-0 lead at the break, before a second half brace from Francis Amartey ended the game as a contest.

Ben Nohr was also on target as Hampstead wrapped up a five-star showing with a 5-0 win.

Having guided his team to five trophies in three years manager Andy Histed said: “To win the league three years running and do the double double is a massive achievement by the players.

“They have been outstanding and have played attractive, free-flowing football all season. They really are a wonderful group of players, and are already targeting both trophies again next season.”

Hampstead FC will be holding trials for next season by invitation only.

Boys and girls who think they have what it takes to join the north London youth club should contact Andy on 07702 242732 for details.
