• IF the government is serious about reducing the risk of harm people face from gambling it should take the strongest possible stance and introduce a £2 maximum stake on fixed-odds betting machines (£2 bet limit backed for the bookies mile, November 2).

In Camden we strive to reduce gambling-related harm and we will urge the introduction of the £2 maximum stake but also additional social responsibility measures for the industry.

Let’s stop playing roulette with people’s lives.
