What will be done about the collapse of the ‘new’ waste collection contract?

• IF evidence was ever needed to show the collapse of the “new” waste collection contract, this photo surely confirms it.

Regular dump sites in Gospel Oak have included in the past a propane gas cylinder and a car tyre.

I understand that the dumping of car tyres is on the increase and that Veolia will not collect them. Also the otherwise marvellous Regis Road recycling centre will not take them.

I know of instances where rubbish has been set alight in Gospel Oak. Is it not time that Camden Council and the relevant cabinet member took control of the situation? What do they intend to do?
