It’s time to clean up the historic right of way

• WHEN will the alleyway and ancient right of way between Chester Road and St Albans Road in Dartmouth Park be cleaned up?
Living nearby, I am aghast at the level of neglect.
– Regular fly-tipping is not prevented or fined.
– Persistent dog fouling by the pets of lazy and irresponsible owners goes unpunished.
– The path is potholed and crumbling.
–Youths on mopeds regularly tear down it due to lack of barriers at either end.
– Drug dealing is prominent in the alleyway due to a lack of CCTV.
– Some walls backing on to the alleyway are falling apart, an accident waiting to happen.
– Overgrown vines and tree branches block much of the path.
Camden Council has a duty to keep its streets clean and its residents safe. School children, locals and others regularly use the alleyway on the way to and from school and work, and yet it has become so unpleasant to traverse, littered with dog mess and rubbish, that its purpose is falling away.
Camden must make a better effort to clean up this ancient right of way so it can be used without fear or danger. CCTV should be installed to catch/deter any who take advantage of the route.
